Our audience was treated to a breathtaking showcase of some of the most remarkable young talents and virtuosos on stage, especially in the second part of the event, with performers of a highly advanced level. At the event, a rich tapestry of musical styles was presented, spanning compositions by Bach and Scarlatti, as well as works by Cimarosa, Grieg, Balakirev, Chopin, Moszkowski, Fauré, and many others. The concert also featured contemporary classical style composers from around the globe, including Jermaks, Nakada, and Heather Hammond, among others, offering a diverse and enriching musical experience.

The concert commenced with an electrifying atmosphere, showcasing two remarkable UK premieres that captivated the audience. The first was the enchanting piece titled 'Bach Travels to Serbia,' brought to life by the prodigious 8-year-old talent, Sasha Ronson, whose debut with energetic and expressive playing captivated all in attendance. Following this, the spotlight turned to an ambitious endeavour: the complete cycle entitled 'Bach Travels', consisting of five pieces composed by the innovative Serbian composer, Milos Raickovich, and elegantly performed by the gifted 14-year-old Sofija Prica from Belgrade.

As the evening progressed into the second segment, anticipation built for the world premiere of compositions by the esteemed British composer Graham Lynch from his remarkable opus, 'The Chimeras.' The haunting melodies of pieces such as ‘The Camden Darkness’, ‘Truffaut’, and ‘Faunus’ resonated throughout the concert hall, masterfully interpreted by the skilled pianist Alla Levit-Anderson, keeping us all captivated. Her performance at the event's conclusion, distinguished by both technical skill and emotional resonance, significantly enhanced the overall experience, leaving the audience deeply impressed by the musical journey of the evening.

In the second part, we heard exceptional and advanced-level pianists, teenagers Rio Miyakawa Baptista and Michael Lee, students of piano teacher Eva Doroszkowska, who won the Best Teacher Award for AGIMF 2024. They played lesser-known compositions by Portuguese Antonio Fragoso and Romualds Jermaks from Latvia, among other works. The performance of the accomplished virtuoso from India, Anirudh Baiju, was distinguished by his dynamic and passionate interpretation of a challenging repertoire. This repertoire included Scarlatti's sonata, Balakirev's 'The Lark,' and Moszkowski's ‘Sparks’, all of which successfully captivated the audience's attention.
